Housing Information

Have you decided whether to live on campus or off campus?
In this page, we will discuss the options available for you.

On Campus (Dormitory, Residence Hall)

Some students are required to live on-campus, but you can choose to live on campus even if it is not required.  Information about on-campus requirements is found in the Pre-Arrival Orientation, but you can also contact the Office of International Education at oisa@emporia.edu to see if you are required to live on campus.

You can go to this link for Residence Hall Services, as well as frequently asked questions.

You can also download this pdf of the residence hall viewbook.

Housing and Dining Contract Information:  Students who are required to live on-campus must complete an online Housing and Dining Contract prior to arrival. We encourage you to complete the contract as soon as you can; room choices fill up fast.

You can fill out an application in the “Reslife Portal”.  This short video will help you understand the steps.

*If you have any questions about the Housing and Dining contract, contact Residential Life. You may also visit the Residential Life website for more information on how to complete the online Housing and Dining contract.

Off Campus (Apartment nearby)

Not all students are required to live on campus.  Information about on-campus requirements is found in the Online Orientation, but you can also contact the Office of International Education at oisa@emporia.edu to see if you are required to live on campus.

Students coming with dependents (such as a spouse or child) will need to live off-campus.

If you are planning to live off-campus, there are multiple apartment complexes near Emporia State University you can choose from. The expense and furnishings vary, so you should review their contracts closely, paying attention to what the apartments offer you.  Some apartment options are listed below, or we have a document with Off-Campus Housing Information that you can download.
