Returning Student Check-In
Attention!
- If you just arrived at Emporia State University as a brand new student and are attending/attended the arrival orientation for Fall 2023 semester, this is not the check-in form you're supposed to fill out. Follow the OIE staff or the ambassador to find the correct page for the new student check-in form.
What is Check-in and why do I need to do this?
- Every international student must prove their physical attendance and report their most updated contact information at the beginning of every semester.
- If you do not complete the check-in process before the deadline, the OIE will be obligated to terminate your I-20/DS-2019 assuming that you are no longer attending Emporia State University.
- Once your I-20/DS-2019 is terminated, your stay in the U.S. will become illegal, therefore you must go back to your home country immediately.
Check-in process
Check-in process has two steps. Until you complete both of the steps, your check-in is not complete.Step 1 "Online check-in" : Complete the online check-in form by clicking the button below. The form will be available on January 1.
Step 2 "In-person check-in" : After completing the online check-in form, come to the OIE to prove your physical attendance
Again, you must complete both of the steps, or your check-in is not complete and you might face severe consequences.
Spring 2024 Check-in deadline
You must complete the check-in process (both online and in-person) before Friday, January 26.
Online check-in form instructions
1. Click on "Check-in" under Questionnaire(s) and provide required information
2. Once you complete all of the questions, click "Submit" at the end. Do not click "Save" unless you plan to go back to this page to complete it and submit it later.
3. Click "Submit" to complete the online check-in form. Be sure to visit the OIE to complete the in-person check-in.
