NOTE: Enrollment for international health insurance opens weeks before the semester begins, but you will not be charged for it right away. Your Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is charged to your student account, so it becomes available with the rest of your student bill. You are not required to begin paying this bill until the first week of classes.

INSURANCE COSTS FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN AWARDED A GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP
- If you have been awarded a graduate assistantship, the department that hired you will cover 75% of your single student insurance cost.
- Your hiring department will not cover any insurance for any dependents you choose to add to your insurance plan. Additionally, your insurance will be processed through Laura Eddy in the Human Resources Department.
- Your insurance will NOT be processed through the Office of International Education.
