Short Term Programs
I AM COMING TO ESU AS PART OF A SHORT TERM PROGRAM, DO I NEED INSURANCE?
Yes, all F1 and F2 students who are enrolled are required to have insurance while in the United States, and all J1 students and J2 dependents are required to have insurance while in the United States, regardless of whether or not you are enrolled.
However, you are not necessarily required to use the school insurance plan. For shorter programs, our Study Abroad Coordinator will help you enroll in an insurance plan that is appropriate for your length of stay. This may still be the student health plan, or it may be a different plan. You will still need to meet the minimum requirements for health insurance.
For questions or concerns about short term insurance, please contact our Study Abroad Coordinator, Jess Brinkman at email@example.com
